APEC Business Travel Card (ABTC)
What is the APEC Business Travel Card (ABTC)?
  • The APEC Business Travel Card (ABTC) is a program designed to facilitate economic exchange among APEC member economies by providing business travelers with access to a dedicated immigration processing lane at the airport without the need for a separate entry visa.
  • The Korea International Trade Association (KITA) accepts ABTC applications and issues cards on behalf of the Korean Ministry of Justice,
What are the benefits for ABTC holders?
1. Business travelers with an ABTC can visit 19 APEC member economies that have joined the ABTC program without a separate entry visa.

  • The United States of America and Canada are Transitional Members that do not grant visa waivers, but do provide expedited processing through a dedicated lane (Fast Track) at their international airports.
    A separate entry visa is required for entry into these economies, unless otherwise waived.
2. ABTC holders can access the ABTC-only lanes at international airports in the participating economies for expedited immigration processing.
Card Validity
  • An ABTC card is valid for 5 years from the date of issue (non-renewable; a new application is required upon expiration).
  • The validity of the card recognized by overseas authorities may vary depending on the expiration date of the applicant's passport. Be sure to check the validity of your passport before applying for the ABTC.

60 days People’s Republic of China, Hong Kong China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Papua New Guinea, Russian Federation, Singapore
90 days Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Chile, Japan, Republic of Korea, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Thailand, Viet Nam
180 days Chinese Taipei

※ A separate visa is required to enter the USA or Canada, unless otherwise waived (ABTC holders have access to Fast Track lanes at international airports).

※ In the Russian Federation, the maximum length of stay is determined by the immigration authority upon entry (up to 90 days cumulative out of 180 days).

    • Priority Lanes 1 and 6: 07:00 – 11:00, 16:00 – 19:00
    • Side gates to general departure gates 2 to 5: Gate-specific hours of operation
  • 2. Terminal 2
    • Departure Gate 1: 07:00 – 19:00
    • Departure Gate 2: 24 hours
Eligibility: ABTC holders (and up to 3 accompanying passengers). (In other participating economies, only the ABTC holder may use the priority lane.)
